Browsing without an account

You can browse, search, and watch films on Shredflix without creating an account or signing in. In that case we do not associate your activity with a personal identifier.

Information you give us

We collect the following information only when you choose to provide it:

Email address — when you sign in. Shredflix uses passwordless "magic link" sign-in: you enter your email and we send you a one-time link to log in. Your email is stored on your user record so we can recognize you on return visits.
Waitlist email — if you join the waitlist for an upcoming feature, we store the email you submit so we can notify you.
Order information — if you buy something from the Shredflix store, we collect the name, email, and shipping address needed to fulfill your order.

Information generated when you use the Service

If you are signed in, the Service stores activity tied to your account so it can work the way you expect:

Watch progress — the films you have started watching and how far you got, so "Continue Watching" can resume in the right place.
Favorites — films you have marked as a favorite.
Orders — a history of any purchases you have made from the Shredflix store.

You can request deletion of any of this data at any time (see "Your choices" below).

Information collected automatically

Like most online services, our servers automatically receive standard technical information when you access the Service, such as your device type, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses cookies and similar storage for the following purposes:

Essential — to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and protect against cross-site request forgery.
Analytics — Google Analytics, to understand aggregate usage.
Advertising — ad partners (such as Google AdSense) may set cookies to serve and measure ads.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in and the cart from working.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service (for example, which pages are viewed and how the Service is performing). Google Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and usage data. This information is used for analytics and to improve the Service.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA to help protect the Service from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect information from your device and browser to determine whether requests are made by humans. This information is used for fraud prevention and security.

Advertising

Shredflix is supported by advertising. We use third-party ad partners, including Google AdSense, to display ads on the Service. These partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure ad performance.

Payments and order fulfillment

When you place an order in the Shredflix store, payment is processed by Stripe. Shredflix never sees or stores your full card number; Stripe handles your payment information directly under its own privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

Physical orders are produced and shipped by Printful. To fulfill your order we share the name, email, shipping address, and order details you provided with Printful. See Printful's privacy policy: https://www.printful.com/policies/privacy.

Embedded video

Films on Shredflix are typically embedded from third-party video platforms (such as YouTube and Vimeo). When you play an embedded video, the video provider may set its own cookies and collect information directly, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Email

We send transactional email only — sign-in magic links, OTP codes, order confirmations and shipping updates, and (rarely) important account or service notices. We do not send marketing email and do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.

Data retention

We keep account data (email, watch progress, favorites, orders) for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, order and tax records) by law.

Your choices and rights

You can:

Use the Service without signing in.
Sign out at any time from the navigation menu.
Clear your favorites and watch progress by removing them in the app, or by requesting deletion via email.
Request a copy or deletion of the personal data tied to your account.
Opt out of personalized advertising via the Google Ads Settings link above.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@shredflix.com from the address associated with your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS in transit, restricted server access, hashed credentials) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and notify you of any incident as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when this policy was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service.
